I am a student completing my Masters in Special Education with a focus in visual impairment and deaf blindness. I have also been an Occupational Therapy Assistant for the past 20 years, and made the decision to go back to school after working on a home health team that provided services to patients who had low vision and patients who were blind. I am thrilled to have found the profession of becoming a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments! Currently I am an itinerant teacher for a charter school, and occassionally a substitute teacher at Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. I live in the Lakeway area of Austin with my husband, 9 year old son and 2 Great Pyrenese.
